Introduction

LocalVoice ("we", "us") provides an on-device-first voice transcription application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and choices you have.

Scope

This policy covers data collected by the Application and related cloud services (account, subscription, cloud sync). On-device processing does not transmit your speech or transcription to our servers unless you explicitly enable cloud features.

Data We Collect

Account Information: Email and basic profile data when you sign up using email or third‑party providers. Authentication tokens are handled by Supabase.

Usage & Diagnostics: App usage metrics, crash reports, and logs (may be anonymized).

Billing: Payment transactions are processed by Paddle; we do not store full card data.

Subscription & Quota: Subscription status, plan_type, pro_expire_at, words_used, total_words, and machine_id are stored in Supabase profiles.

Offline Activation: Offline keys include a machine identifier. Keys are generated by authorized tools and validated locally.

How We Use Data

We operate and maintain the Application, manage subscriptions, improve products via anonymized analytics, send transactional messages, and enforce Terms of Service.

Data Sharing

We use third parties (Supabase, Paddle, Cloudflare). These providers process data on our behalf under contract. We may disclose information to comply with legal obligations.

Cookies and Tracking

Website pages may use cookies for analytics and session management. Manage cookie preferences in your browser.

Data Retention

We retain account and subscription information as long as necessary for the purposes described or as required by law. You can request deletion subject to legal/operational constraints.

Security

We implement reasonable safeguards. For cloud features we rely on Supabase and Cloudflare protections. No system is fully secure; avoid sharing sensitive personal data you do not want stored.

International Transfers

Supabase, Paddle and Cloudflare may process data in multiple jurisdictions. By using the Services you consent to cross-border transfer and storage.

Your Rights

You may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing. Contact privacy@localvoice.example to exercise these rights.

Children

The Application is not intended for children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be posted with an updated date.
