Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using or downloading LocalVoice (the "Application") and any related services (the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction) to use the Services.

3. License

Subject to these Terms and payment (if any), LocalVoice grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Application on devices you own or control. The Application is licensed, not sold.

4. Accounts and Authentication

Cloud features require an account. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials. Third-party authentication (Magic Link, GitHub, Google) may be available.

5. Subscriptions, Payments and Offline Activation

Paid features are subscriptions (monthly/annual) or a one-time perpetual license. Payments are handled by third-party providers (e.g., Paddle). Entitlements are recorded online (Supabase) or via offline activation keys. Refunds and cancellations follow our Refund Policy.

6. Offline Activation

LocalVoice supports offline activation via machine-bound license keys. Offline keys are generated by authorized tools and validated locally.

7. Use Restrictions

You will not reverse-engineer, bypass license checks, misuse the Application, or remove proprietary notices.

8. Data, Privacy and On‑Device Processing

LocalVoice emphasizes local processing: speech recognition and transcription occur on-device by default. Cloud features require consent and use Supabase (https://sahzzrcvsklcedajdhfh.supabase.co). See our Privacy Policy for details.

9. Third‑Party Services

Third-party services (Paddle, Supabase, Cloudflare) are used; their terms and policies apply. We are not responsible for third-party actions.

10. Intellectual Property

All rights to the Application remain with the owner. You grant us a limited right to process content you submit to cloud features as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Warranty Disclaimer

The Services are provided "AS IS". We disclaim all warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify LocalVoice and its agents from claims arising from your use or violation of these Terms.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations or lawful reasons. On termination you must cease using the Application and delete copies if requested.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law in the company’s jurisdiction. Update as appropriate for your company.

16. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms; changes will be posted with an updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
